How to import data from an Abbott Freestyle Libre CGM device

Issue

I want to upload patient data from their Abbott Freestyle Libre CGM device to the RocheDiabetes Care Platform.

Solution

You can upload patient data from their Abbott Freestyle Libre CGM device via any available Abbott diabetes management system.

• Upload and export data via Freestyle Libre or LibreView

  To export data, you can do it either:

  - From the Freestyle Libre software:

  1. Once installed on your computer, connect the device.

     

  2. Click on Create reports.

     

  3. Click File on the top left and select Export data.

     

  4. Select the folder named RDCP Device Link located on your desktop.

     

  5. Name the txt file (for example, with your patient’s name) and click Save.

     

  6. The SINOVO Connection Center plugin will start importing the data.

     

  - From the LibreView portal, a cloud-based web solution:

  1. Select the patient from which you want to upload data. They should show as Connected under LibreView user status.

     

  2. Click Profile, then Download glucose data.

     

  3. Select the checkbox from the pop-up window, and click Download.

     

  4. Drag and drop the downloaded CSV file into the folder RDCP Device Link.

     

  5. The SINOVO Connection Center plugin will start importing the data.

     

• Import data to the RocheDiabetes Care Platform

  ×Note: Data import from this CGM device is only available using the Device Link software on Windows. To install it, follow this article. Once installed, the RDCP Device Link folder will appear on your desktop.
  1. Move the exported files to the RDCP Device Link folder on your desktop. Then, the SINOVO Connection Center should automatically open.
     If the file is not automatically detected, select it manually. Browse the source file, click Open, and then Import. This will start importing the data to the RocheDiabetes Care Platform.
     
     
  
  
  2. To assign the device to the patient, click Confirm device assignment.
  3. The upload may require two confirmations. To confirm the data upload, click the blinking Device Link icon from your taskbar, and click Next.
  ×Note: To upload data manually, click on the system tray icon ⌃, right-click on the Device Link icon , and click Manual upload - other devices. This launches the SINOVO Connection Center, where you can manually select the device or data source.
